A Good Man to Be U.S. Senator – Michigander Abdul El-Sayed

With a name like Abdul, he instantly gets name recognition. So, his name is an easy target for desperate politicos who fear him and want to say he is risky. However, Dr. El-Sayed readily stands up to it all.

The boogeyman strategy is a two-edged sword

A personable man with character and people-oriented substance on the issues, Abdul benefits from any attention he can get. Still, the boogeyman story is all the tired wayward politicians have. So, they bang their heads. Yesterday, Trump sadly declared “Mohammed is a Jihadist lunatic who hates our country, the Black People of Detroit, and wants to see the U.S. fail.” Anybody who hears or knows the Michigan born-and-raised doctor knows better. And anyone who has listened to Trump knows his condemnations are like badges of honor. Trump purposefully avoids Abdul’s real name.

“When you can’t buy attention, you have to earn it”

So says Abdul, who takes no corporate money. In the Michigan primary, he beat out a big money Israeli AIPAC-financed candidate. Retiring Senator Gary Peters, another Israeli advocate, had vacated the seat and endorsed Abdul’s opponent.

The Democrat establishment has shown little more support of Abdul than the GOP

The Democrats keep sending out solicitations on behalf of a list of candidates to take over the Senate. This week they finally added Abdul to the list. Maybe they can no longer ignor him. Certainly, this is to the chagrin of Jefferies and Schumer, grossly ineffectual party leads that can only kowtow to Israel. Hopefully, putting El-Sayed on the Democrat list of potential Senators means the party actually gives him his portion of funds generated.

The Democratic establishment remains loathe to respond to the issues as the people see them

Abdul El-Sayed is on target across the range of issues of the day. He is more organized, defined, and citizen-focused than anything either party is promoting. He is basically an open door. Sure, political forces will keep trying to deny or undermine him. However, he is smart, honest, commited, and deservant of a chance.

We the people must also be strong and see the trouble. Maybe it starts with recognizing that progress and conserve are not bad words or ideas. But when we have government that renders you a commy terrorist for resisting war and genocide, we have existential problems. Our dead-beat leadership represents the existential problem. Democracy has not failed; leadership has. We need change like Abdul represents.

For Abdul, political yard signs are still a special indicator

The people’s national awareness and support for Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is encouraging. However, this will be a proverbial nail-biter for Michigan. Good old fashioned yard signs always tell some sort of story.

By putting up an Abdul sign, you are taking a stance that he is not the boogeyman. Sounds easy, but it is explicit, maybe more challenging than making an anonymous donation. People are disgusted with politics. But we stay involved and promote positive change.

It started as a trickle in Oakland County, Michigan, not far from Detroit. Now across the metropolitan area, signs for Abdul are more visible at about eight or ten to one over his competitor. The ratio is basically flipped across the less populated balance of the state. You might drive many miles and suddenly see twenty Mike Rogers signs in a single yard; maybe that is a single ‘die hard’.

Protect our magnificent state with trustworthy politicians.

As an aside, in Georgia at the exit for the Trump Superstore, there was an advertised 75% off sale. A few days later, both signs were gone. There was also a notable reduction in the number of white Christian nationalist signs. Just saying…

Bottom Line: Senator Abdul El-Sayed would be good for Michigan and the country.
