We’re most always in harmony, a great thing. So, when possible, our discussion and activities will go out in this format, like this one for 063026. Comments, ideas, corrections, additions always welcome.

Discussion
- The state just fired the warden of the Huron Valley correctional center. This has been a facility of horrendous prisoner conditions, historically females, one of which had mold growing in her ears. The warden’s firing doesn’t mean conditions improve.
- The People’s Tribunal was a good discussion on Saturday, with decent attendance. There are increasingly numerous events, so there are scheduling conflicts.
- The Prairieland Nine need solidarity. The prosecution convicted them this month (June ’26) of terrorism, rioting, and weapons charges related to a protest at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, on July 4, 2025. This politically motivated trumped-up effort is ostensibly targeting anti-fascist activists.
- Authorities are subjecting The Minneapolis 15 to irrational discriminatory prosecution. So, solidarity with them also. The 15 include community and union leaders.
The following bullet is being researched.
- Concerned citizens are asking Barrien and Cass Counties (Benton Harbor, Cassopolis) to account for the extreme violent death of a young Black male. Concerned parties are in touch with an activist/reverend on the ground there. Authorities contend that a Mexican driver hit and killed the Black boy. This is inconsistent with the condition of boy’s body (reportedly more like a savage beating, might have had water in the lungs), the body’s placement, and timing of a video. ICE became involved. Lawyers need to get more involved. Citizens provided instruction for contacting the Mexican consulate. The Mexican is also a victim. The area is a known racial hotspot.
- People increasingly find Blacks dead/hung. Suicide is the usual reasoning. The Atlanta Black Star has reported some. A Black woman’s podcast has been reporting on a trend of Black truck drivers disappearing.
- Detroit police have been manipulating the curfew. For instance, they took a youth into custody and held him until the curfew time came. Then they arrested him for curfew violation. On fireworks day, under dubious circumstances, police shot a Black youth. So, the conclusion is that they do not want Black kids downtown.
- There is anxiety and concern for Black youth, most of whom don’t understand these times and are not taking it seriously. The bulk of Gen Xers either did not vote or voted for Trump.
- On Saturday, Trump directed ICE to get busy in Detroit. So, ICE took seven people away from the SW neighborhood on Sunday, and four more on Monday. Today, Tuesday afternoon 6/30/26, there were forty plus agents with a helicopter in use, at Hazlett and Tireman, and at Hazlett and Milford. Consequently, citizens called for medics, legal observers, and community support.
