Playing God for Political Advantage – The GOP Apocalypse
Not to say the world is ending, but the GOP has a lot of good people worried. The GOP’s behavior is bad, if not bottomlessly evil, and has parallels to the apocalypse of Biblical context. Consider this as an analogy between two unrelated phenomena – those being any possible apocalypse-like event and the very real GOP.
Good God, let these words help people see the wicked ways of today’s politics. And do not let these words serve Hegseth’s new false witness and his self-portrayal as God waging holy war. Please bring the Christian nationalist sect (including the so-called “evangelicals”) home.
Indubitably, the big GOP apocalypse works to bring suffering in mysterious ways, like the following.
Politicos only know to ride on, on a dead horse
The dead horse is the GOP party. GOP politicians are suddenly saying the war must stop, as if they didn’t repeatedly collude to make it happen. Any remaining GOP monster will not have a viable party to work with. GOP survivors will be even more fully subservient to lies and deceit. Trumpers wholly own the GOP, even as the leader quickly slips away. The “burn it all down” strategy has consumed the party itself. The party is not recoverable and continues to burn; they are in their hell fire.
Behold the GOP’s Immoral Version of the Four Horseman
In homage to the faux Christ-imposter of their making, the nationalist clergy and worshippers of the GOP have readied their four horsemen to smite their opposition.
- White Horse – Conquest through false religion, with leaders masquerading as righteous and uniquely capable.
- Red Horse – War bringing bloodshed, violence, and the destruction of peace.
- Black Horse – Famine and scarcity, leading to starvation and extreme economic hardship.
- Pale Horse – Death, to sweep away a quarter of the earth through sword, disaster, plague, and wild beasts.
The GOP apocalypse seems to be saddled up and ready to ride. Certainly, we need accountability from all politicians, including Democrats. It’s just that the devious GOP has led us into a deep dark trap, and Democrats have directly assisted. It remains to be seen if the Democrats can positively change, stand up for the people, and make a real difference; they might be recoverable.
We must return to being a people and a land of shared truths.
This is tongue-in-cheek, yet sincere in an effort to get people thinking and banding together. I wrote this after counseling a young person who is inconsolable after doing all the right things and being unable to secure a home. The person repeatedly said that the world is ending.
It really doesn’t have to be this way. Even if we are tired or confused or have no means, let’s at least be open and truthful.
